With New York Fashion Week at a close, there were many designers who brought their A-Game. However, the Mulleavy sisters stood out from the rest.

Rodarte’s RTW Fall 2013 collection brought us to their childhood in Santa Cruz California. A very intimate and personal collection, with hints of nostalgic grunge and punk-rock elements like over sized jackets, leather and tie-dye, this collection is a story to the Mulleavy sisters upbringing on the seas-side boardwalk. Using silk, crystal studs, body suits, and low-slung pants, Rodarte is staying true to their artistic self and refusing to  succumb to the pressure to be more commercial.

What can only be defined as  Psychedelic Punk-Rock Feminism, Rodarte’s RTW Fall 2013 collection had me Oo-ing and Awe-ing the entire way. Watch the video below!
